What is the difference between an original and a fine art print?
When buying an original, you are purchasing the one Jill Stewart created with paint or marker. No one will ever have another original of this piece. For paintings, the entire canvas, including the edges, are painted, so the artwork is ready to hang. You may also opt to have the piece framed. It is recommended that original art is kept out of direct sunlight. For marker on paper, the artwork will need to be framed to help preserve it.
A giclee print is a copy of the original, produced from a high quality photograph of the original. The giclee is printed on fine art photographic paper and mounted on single weight mat-board for durability. Prints allow you to collect art by Jill Stewart at affordable prices. Prints look really nice matted and framed.
